Deep Sorrow and Gratitude to First Responders and Event Organizers   

We at WebID Solutions are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic events that occurred last Friday evening in Solingen. During the celebration of the city’s 650th anniversary, a severe knife attack took place in the town square, resulting in the loss of three lives and serious injuries to eight others. Fortunately, none of our employees were among the victims. 

As a company deeply rooted in Solingen and the largest regional employer in the IT sector, we wish to express our solidarity with the city and its residents. We believe it is of utmost importance that the perpetrator, who has already been apprehended, is held fully accountable under the law. This is essential to ensure justice for the city and those affected, and to restore the sense of security in Solingen. 

We extend our sincere thanks to the police and emergency services for their swift response, and to the event organizers who largely prevented a mass panic, thereby protecting many lives. 

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those impacted by this devastating event.
