WebID Solutions GmbH and its affiliated companies (hereinafter referred to as the “WebID Group”) strive to operate and offer their online platforms and products in compliance with applicable legal requirements, such as the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG).
This accessibility statement applies to the online platforms and products of the WebID Group.
1. Compliance Status with Applicable Requirements
The online platforms (www.webid-solutions.com) (hereinafter “websites”) and the products of the WebID Group are partially compliant with the BFSG due to the incompatibilities and exceptions listed below. Some requirements are not yet fully implemented.
2. Non-Accessible Content
The following contents and features of the websites and products are currently not fully accessible:
- Some images lack alternative text.
- Some control elements do not have meaningful alternative text.
- HTML heading elements are occasionally not properly nested.
- Some pages contain headings and elements without labels or with the aria-hidden attribute, making them inaccessible to screen readers.
- Not all control elements have a clear visible focus.
- Full keyboard operability is not yet ensured.
- Enlarging content can lead to overlapping or truncated content.
- Zoom functionality on mobile devices is not yet accessible.
- Some elements do not meet contrast requirements.
- PDF documents generated and provided by the application are not fully accessible.
- Status messages are not programmatically available and cannot be detected by screen readers without manual focus.
Additional accessibility issues for the websites:
- On some pages, form fields are not labeled, making navigation via screen reader difficult.
For the products, the non-accessible content and functions are detailed as follows:
VideoID
VideoID is a digital identification solution in compliance with the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), where customers are verified via video call after submitting identification documents.
Non-accessible content:
- The video call identification process is not fully accessible. We are currently reviewing a process to enable accessibility features such as live captions, without violating GwG requirements.
- The video “WebID in 60 Seconds” currently lacks subtitles and is under revision.
AccountID
AccountID offers fully automated online identification via reference transfer.
Non-accessible content:
- Not all interactive elements in the web application have a clearly visible focus. Technical improvements are underway or in concrete planning.
TrueID
TrueID performs identification based on an existing digital identity, including verification using documents or data from credible, independent sources, as well as electronic means and trust services.
Non-accessible content:
- The TAN input process is not yet fully accessible. Technical improvements are planned or already underway.
AutoID
AutoID is a fully automated identity verification using document and biometric checks.
Non-accessible content:
- “Camera photo” fields in the web application are not accessible, as they cannot currently be triggered automatically.
- Instructions for the liveness test are not read out correctly by voice assistants.
- We are evaluating new technology providers to enable accessible usage, including automated photo capture and proper reading of instructions.
eID
eID enables identification via the eID function of the German national ID card.
Non-accessible content:
- App elements within the web application are not properly labeled programmatically and are thus inaccessible to screen readers. Technical improvements are planned or underway.
SignID
SignID enables legally binding online signing using Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES).
Non-accessible content:
- PDF documents generated in the signing process and provided by the Trust Service Provider are not fully accessible. Improvements are planned or in progress.
WebID Wallet
WebID Wallet is a digital wallet for storing electronic documents.
Non-accessible content:
- Some clickable objects do not meet the minimum target size for touch inputs. A technical revision is planned or already underway.
We are continuously working to identify and eliminate existing barriers on our websites and within our products.

5. Market Surveillance Authority for Accessibility of Products and Services
If you do not receive a satisfactory response after providing feedback to the contact above, you may contact the Market Surveillance Authority of the Federal States for the Accessibility of Products and Services (MLBF).
To fulfill the responsibilities of the Accessibility Strengthening Act, the federal states are currently establishing a joint authority.
The MLBF is expected to begin its work as a public law institution on June 28, 2025, in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, subject to ratification of the relevant interstate treaty by all federal states. All states are currently working to create the necessary conditions.
